Acceptable Use Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 13 June 2026 · Hansa [legal entity name & ABN to be confirmed]

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using the Hansa platform. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. By using the Platform you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with this policy.

1. Scope and applicability

This policy applies to every person who accesses or uses the Platform, including all of a Customer's Authorised Users. The Customer is responsible for ensuring its Authorised Users understand and comply with this policy.

2. Permitted use

The Platform is provided for legitimate government relations and stakeholder engagement work — managing contacts and campaigns, recording interactions, monitoring the parliamentary and policy landscape, and producing drafts and summaries for your team to review. You may use the Platform only for your own organisation's lawful business purposes and in accordance with the Terms of Service.

3. Third-party AI services

Some features are powered by third-party AI services. When you use those features, your prompts and the relevant content may be processed by those providers to generate Output for you. We select providers that do not use your content to train their models, consistent with our commitment in the Privacy Policy. You must not use AI features in a way that breaches the providers' acceptable-use rules.

4. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • use the Platform in breach of any law, regulation, lobbying-registration scheme or code of conduct that applies to you;
  • enter content you do not have the right to provide, or that infringes the rights of others;
  • upload sensitive personal information without a lawful basis, or any malicious code;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other accounts, or our systems;
  • probe, scan, disrupt or overload the Platform, or interfere with its security or integrity;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code or models underlying the Platform, except to the extent the law permits;
  • use the Platform to build or train a competing product or service, or to benchmark it for a competitor;
  • scrape or harvest data from the Platform other than your own Customer Content;
  • resell, sublicense or share access with anyone other than your Authorised Users;
  • use the Platform to harass, deceive, impersonate or unlawfully surveil any person.

5. Responsibility for use

You are responsible for the content you enter and for how you use the Platform and its Output. Because AI features are decision-support tools, you must review Output before relying on or acting on it, and you remain accountable for any communication, decision or filing you make.

6. Responsible and lawful use

When using AI-assisted features, you agree to:

  • treat Output as a draft and apply your own professional judgement before using it;
  • ensure your engagement activities are accurately and transparently recorded where the law requires it;
  • handle information about contacts, stakeholders and public officials lawfully, including obtaining any consents you need;
  • not present AI-generated material as independent fact without verifying it; and
  • not use the Platform to create misleading, deceptive or unlawful content.

7. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, we may investigate and take appropriate action, including warning you, removing offending content, or suspending or terminating access in accordance with the Terms of Service. Where the breach poses a risk to the Platform or others, we may act immediately.

8. Amendments

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the effective date shown above. Material changes will be notified by reasonable means.
