Hansa is an Australian platform for the teams whose job is to change what government does. It reads the parliamentary record so you do not have to, keeps everything you know about an issue in one place, and turns that into the brief, the submission and the follow-up.
What we are trying to do
Most tools in this field are built to tell you what already happened. They wait for you to search, then alert you after the fact, and the work of deciding what it means is still yours at the end of it.
Hansa is built the other way round. It reads continuously, works out what actually bears on the issues you are running, and brings you the thing that changed along with the next sensible move. The point is not to give you more to read. It is to give you back the hours currently going into monitoring, chasing and writing up, so they can go into the advocacy instead.
Everything it tells you is sourced back to the record, because a claim you cannot show your board is not worth much.
What we hold to
Your record, never a guess
Hansa answers from your own workspace and the parliamentary record, and cites where every claim came from. Where it does not know, it says so.
Separation is structural
We hold confidential work for many organisations at once, including competing ones. Keeping them apart is built into the architecture, not left to a setting somebody could switch off.
Nothing moves without you
Hansa drafts, proposes and prepares. It does not send, file or commit to anything on your behalf until you have approved it.
Australian, and staying that way
Built in Canberra, hosted in Sydney, and covering all nine Australian parliaments. Your data does not leave the country.
Common questions
Which parliaments does Hansa cover?
All nine Australian parliaments are pre-loaded as contact and electorate reference data: parliamentarians, ministerial and electorate staffers, committees, parliamentary friends groups, seat margins and electorate maps, kept current by Hansa. Continuous monitoring covers the federal parliamentary record today, with state and territory coverage rolling out.
How quickly will I hear about something?
Near real-time. Hansa reads continuously rather than on a schedule, so if something breaks at 2pm you hear it at 2pm, not in tomorrow morning's round-up.
Can anyone else see our information?
No. Every organisation on Hansa works in its own sealed workspace, and that separation is built into how Hansa is made rather than being a setting. Inside your own team you can restrict sensitive issues further still.
Does Beacon ever make things up?
Beacon answers from your own workspace and the parliamentary record, and cites where each answer came from so you can check it. It cannot reach another organisation's information, and it only acts once you approve.
Where is our data stored?
In Sydney, on Australian infrastructure. Your data stays in Australia.
What does Hansa cost?
Standard is $299 per user per month including GST, or $2,990 per user for the year, which is twelve months for the price of ten. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial.
Is there a lock-in contract?
Not on monthly. It is pay as you go with no minimum term and no notice period, and you can cancel any time. The annual plan is a twelve-month term paid upfront, and you can switch off renewal whenever you like.
What happens to our data if we leave?
It is deleted. Hansa does not retain your workspace after you go.
